February brings an exciting lineup of food events across Vancouver, offering everything from expanded happy hours to immersive cooking classes and culinary competitions. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, game-day snacks, hands-on chocolate making, or a wine-pairing showdown, there are plenty of opportunities to indulge. Here’s a look at what’s happening this month.

The Rec Room Granville is hosting a Super Bowl Watch Party on Sunday, February 9, at 2:30 PM. For $10 General Admission, guests will receive guaranteed seating with a view of the big screen, a raffle ticket, one drink token, plus trivia and prizes throughout the game. Guests can even upgrade to a VIP ticket for $15 which will secure them the best seat in the house and an extra drink token.
Coast Restaurant is expanding its Happy Hour to the weekend starting February 1. From 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, guests can enjoy an all-day menu featuring fresh oysters for $1.50, served on the half-shell with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and lemon. Other highlights include Tiger Prawn Cocktail, Hamachi Crudo, Mini Lobster and Prawn Roll, and Calamari. Drink specials start at $5 for wine, $6 for Prosecco, and $6 for Moscow Mules, Caesars, highballs, and beer.
D/6 is hosting a Super Bowl Viewing Party on February 9, starting at 1 PM. Guests can watch the game on a massive screen while enjoying Chicken Wings, Nacho Boxes, and Touchdown Packages featuring food and drink specials. Beer Buckets, a Caesar Tower, and The Huddle—an XXL Margarita paired with two bottles of Sol—will be available. Exciting giveaways include NFL jerseys, Molson beer coolers, and gift cards.
Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is offering two unique culinary experiences this month. On February 8, guests can join the Valentine’s Chocolate Making Workshop, where Chef Patrice will teach the art of crafting a heart-shaped chocolate box filled with handmade truffle bonbons. Participants will also learn how to make chocolate paste roses and take home an apron.
On February 22, the Seoul Food Edition cooking class will be led by Chef Brent Kim, who will guide attendees through making traditional Korean dishes. The menu includes Tteokbokki, Beef Bulgogi, Kimbap, Fish Cake Soup, and Steamed Rice, paired with Barley Tea.
Five Sails will host the second event in the Sommelier Showdown series on February 18. The competition features sommeliers Nick Bertoia and Randy Chafe pairing wines with a four-course dinner created by Culinary Director Alex Kim. Guests will enjoy dishes such as Seared Scallops, Seared King Salmon, and Peace River Grilled Lamb Loin, voting on their favourite pairings. The winner of this round will move on to the Grand Finale in March.
