The Richmond Sunflower Festival has opened for the season, bringing fields of colour to Richmond with over 20 varieties of sunflowers now at their peak. From towering giants to smaller ornamental blooms, the festival creates a striking backdrop for visitors looking to enjoy the outdoors, take photographs, or spend a day exploring.

Beyond the flowers, local food trucks and vendors are on site with a variety of refreshments. Guests can expect cold drinks for hot afternoons, sweet treats to enjoy between walks, and picnic-friendly meals that make it easy to stay longer. The emphasis is on casual, portable options that allow visitors to dine comfortably while enjoying the festival setting.
The walking paths are designed to make exploration straightforward, with open spaces and photo opportunities throughout the fields. Families, couples, and groups of friends can enjoy wagon rides before dusk, while pets on leashes are welcome to join. The atmosphere blends nature, light activity, and community with a simple focus on celebrating sunflowers during their peak bloom.
