Bee-Themed Adventures Arrive at Greendale Acres

Greendale Acres in Chilliwack has launched new bee-themed attractions that pay tribute to the vital role honeybees play in pollination and agriculture. Visitors can now explore the farm’s Bee Maze and Pollinator Path, which feature five interactive learning stations. The path highlights the connection between bees and the pollination of flowers, fruits, and crops, with a demonstration hive providing an up-close look at how hives function in a safe environment.

The farm has introduced its own line of honey and beeswax products that showcase the work of their resident pollinators. Jars of honey are available in Pumpkin and Wildflower varieties for $8.75 (250g), $15.50 (500g), and $29 (1kg), along with a Hot Honey with Chili for $10 (250g). The new Bee Line also includes beeswax lip balms, hand lotions, and candles.

Greendale Acres has long supported bees by planting nectar-rich flowers such as zinnias, sunflowers, and wildflower mixes across several acres. These flowers not only sustain their resident hives but also support the pollination of crops including apples, pumpkins, and squash. Seasonal hives are also installed during peak blooming periods, ensuring pollination at critical times of year.

In addition to the new bee features, the farm offers a wide range of family-friendly attractions, from the Bee Corn Maze and U-Pick Flower Gardens to the Greendale Express Train and farm carousel. August events include the Flower Festival, Sundown Music Series, Golden Hour Flower Workshops, and a Summer Send Off celebration. Visitors can also enjoy local honey tastings, live music, and picnic areas framed by mountain views.
