DD Mau Chinatown is launching a new collaboration dinner series, Feast & Friends, on September 9 and 10, 2025. The two-night event will bring together Top Chef Canada winner Chef Chanthy Yen and the cocktail innovators at Bar Supernova for an evening celebrating Vietnamese and Cambodian flavours paired with inventive drinks.

The dinner will be served family-style, beginning with snacks from Chef Yen such as garlic pickled cucumber with ikura and smoked salmon, braised beef tongue with Cambodian molé, and shrimp Ktiss on fried eggplant chips. Appetizers will feature smoked beef tenderloin tataki Lạp Khmer Salad, crafted with wild Vietnamese pepper and lemongrass vinaigrette by Chef Tyler Hoang, and P’Baw, East Coast scallops with crab roe and Kampot pepper foam, a dish that appeared on Top Chef Canada.
For mains, guests will enjoy grilled duck with prahok, radishes, sweet cabbage and herb salad by Chef Yen, along with tamarind Canh Chua cold noodle, a refreshing glass noodle dish in tamarind-tomato broth by Chef Hoang. Dessert will be Num Kom × Xu Xê, banana leaf dumplings with palm sugar coconut-mung bean filling and pandan condensed milk.
Joining the collaboration is Bar Supernova, a new Vancouver cocktail bar led by Max Curzon-Price and Andrew Kong, both formerly of Suyo. Their program emphasizes sustainability, using kitchen offcuts and overlooked ingredients to create cocktails with depth and creativity.
Tickets for Feast & Friends are $85++ with multiple seatings beginning at 5:30 PM on both days. Drinks are available à la carte. Reservations can be made through DD Mau Chinatown. This series is designed to highlight Vancouver’s culinary community through chef and bartender collaborations, with more editions planned for the coming months.
