Vancouver International Wine Festival returns March 7 to 14, 2026, bringing a week of tastings, seminars, and culinary events to the Vancouver Convention Centre East and select venues across the city. Now in their 47th edition, the festival will feature 113 wineries from 14 countries across 33 events, with a special focus on France and 27 participating French producers representing nine regions.

The Grand Tasting Room will include a dedicated France section, anchored by a Vive la France themed wine bar and regional tasting stations highlighting areas such as Beaujolais and Bordeaux. Educational programming will explore French wine culture through public and trade seminars, including a guided Tour de France in Your Glass and industry sessions examining biodynamic practices, terroir trends, and regional diversity.
International programming continues with Passport to Global Wines, which introduces wines from eight producing countries, and Classic & Contemporary Australia, led by Wine Australia educator Mark Davidson, focusing on evolving grape varieties and vineyard practices.
The festival also places a strong emphasis on Vancouver’s dining scene through curated winery dinners at leading restaurants, themed lunches, and the Wine Program Excellence Awards, which recognize excellence in restaurant wine programs. Culinary students from LaSalle College and the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts will take part in select events as part of hands-on learning initiatives.
Signature events include the Bacchanalia Gala Dinner and Auction at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, International Festival Tastings, and two days of Trade Days programming for hospitality professionals. Festivalgoers can also turn the experience into a city stay through Stay Vancouver Hotels, which is offering complimentary International Festival Tasting tickets with qualifying downtown hotel bookings for a limited time.
With a mix of global producers, in-depth education, and food-focused events, the 2026 Vancouver International Wine Festival continues to present a comprehensive look at the international wine landscape in a city known for their dining and hospitality culture.
