Praguery, the much-loved name behind delicious chimney cakes and ice cream, has opened its first café concept in Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park Community Centre. Located at 1207 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, Praguery Café is a welcome addition to the area, offering freshly baked pastries, decadent desserts, and comforting hot drinks.
Everything there is made in-house, ensuring a fresh and high-quality experience. I had the chance to sample a variety of their offerings.
Basque Cheesecake: This indulgent treat boasts a mousse-like texture that’s light and creamy, with a perfectly golden, caramelized “burnt” surface.
Cream Puffs: Available in four flavours—vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, and tiramisu—these are perfect for anyone who loves a sweet and airy pastry. My personal favourite was the raspberry, which had just the right balance of tart and sweet.
Orange Bliss: This dessert features chocolate soft serve, fudge, candied orange, and chocolate chips in a chimney co9ne. It’s a rich, flavour-packed indulgence with a bright citrus twist.
Cinnamon Cone: Sometimes simplicity is best. The plain cinnamon cone is a classic—sweet, fragrant, and utterly satisfying.
Chai Latte: Pair your dessert with a hot drink! It’s the perfect way to warm up while enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the café.
