Canadian Club unveiled its latest whisky innovation with an exclusive evening that combined fine dining and expert-led tastings. Hosted by Canadian Club Brand Ambassador Mike McLean, the event which was held at Boulevard Kitchen in Vancouver introduced the Canadian Club Invitation Series 18-Year-Old High Proof to whisky enthusiasts.
The whisky tasting session featured the Classic 12 Year Old, the Classic 15 Year Old Sherry Cask, and the evening’s highlight, the Classic 18 Year Old High Proof. Aged for 18 years and bottled at 58% ABV, this bold whisky balances smoothness with full-bodied complexity. Notes of caramel, toffee, and leather set the stage, while spicy vanilla and rich oak round out the palate, leaving a butterscotch finish that lingers beautifully.
The tasting experience was elevated with a curated dinner menu. The meal began with the Autumn Harvest Salad, featuring kale, chicories, candied walnuts, truffle Manchego, and apple. The main course, Charcoal Grilled Sablefish, was enhanced by a soy-sake glaze, local bull kelp, king mushroom, and a bone broth emulsion. For dessert, the Banana Mille-Feuille paired banana and chestnut cream with a touch of Canadian Club Classic 12-Year-Old whisky, offering a sweet conclusion to the evening.
Whisky connoisseurs can look forward to an elevated Canadian whisky experience with the Canadian Club Classic 18-Year-Old High Proof. This new addition to the Invitation Series exemplifies craftsmanship, appealing to those seeking a whisky with depth and character.
