Moosehead Breweries has introduced a limited edition product called Space Beer, a freeze dried version of their Canadian Lager created to mark a milestone moment in Canadian space exploration.

The release transforms Moosehead’s classic lager into a shelf stable format designed to suit zero gravity conditions. Instead of a liquid, Space Beer is presented as a snack, removing alcohol content while preserving the essence of the original brew in a new form.
The product was developed in collaboration with Canadian food innovation group Future Food Studio, led by engineer and creative scientist Dr. Irwin Adam Eydelnant. The approach reflects an experimental direction, combining food science with a familiar Canadian brand.
Space Beer is not intended for retail shelves in the traditional sense. Limited six packs are being offered exclusively through Moosehead’s Instagram channel, creating a direct to consumer release tied to the campaign.
Moosehead, which has remained Canadian owned for over 150 years, positions the launch as a way to connect their long history with a moment that highlights national ambition and technological progress.
The introduction of Space Beer shows how established beverage brands are exploring new formats and concepts, moving beyond conventional products while still referencing their core identity.
