Mon Paris Pâtisserie Opens New Olympic Village Café

Mon Paris Pâtisserie has expanded their footprint with a second location, opening on April 26 at 1731 Manitoba Street in Vancouver’s Olympic Village. To celebrate the launch, the café is offering 15% off all items on April 26 and 27.

The new space mirrors the charm of Mon Paris’ original location at 4396 Beresford Street in Burnaby, which first opened in 2017. Open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 AM to 6 PM, the Olympic Village café offers 1,150 square feet of bright, welcoming space with seating for 20 guests. Chef and Owner Elena Krasnova’s inspiration for the new location draws from the classic Parisian cafés she grew to love during her training at Ferrandi Ecole de Gastronomie in Paris.

Guests can expect a full menu of French pastries including Butter Croissants, Chocolate Croissants, Ham and Cheese Croissants, Pistachio Croissants, Double Baked Almond and Chocolate Croissants, Canelés, Turnovers, Palmiers, and Galettes. The café will also offer a variety of confections, macarons, chocolates, and custom cakes designed to serve six to twenty people.

The Olympic Village location introduces a new menu of baguette sandwiches. Options include the Turkey Melt (smoked turkey, provolone, cranberry mayo, salad, tomato), BC Salmon (smoked salmon, cucumber, cream cheese, capers), Reuben (smoked brisket, Thousand Island dressing, provolone, sauerkraut), Grinder (Italian red wine salami, capicola, jalapeño havarti, pickled onions, tomato), and Italian (tomato, pesto, mozzarella).

Coffee and tea offerings will include traditional Macchiatos, Americanos, Cappuccinos, Lattes with flavour options such as vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, Rooibos, and Spanish varieties. Guests will also find London Fogs, house-blend hot chocolates, mochas, and a selection of herbal teas.

The café will highlight Krasnova’s seasonal collections throughout the year, featuring creative confections for Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, and more.

Born in Russia during the Perestroika era, Elena Krasnova’s background shaped her creative approach to pastry making. Since opening her first location, her work has received attention from North American and European publications, and she has earned respect among top pastry chefs internationally.
