Kawartha Dairy has opened their first location outside Ontario in Britannia Beach, bringing their signature ice cream to the Sea to Sky region. The shop is part of the newly launched Britannia Village retail and services complex and operates out of a restored 70-year-old former church building.

The shop quietly began service on April 10 and is now open daily from 12 PM to 8 PM. Visitors can choose from 35 ice cream flavours, along with milkshakes and take-home ice cream tubs. There is outdoor seating along Britannia Creek.

Founded in 1937 by the Crowe family in central Ontario, Kawartha Dairy continues to be family-run. Their ice cream is made using 100% Canadian fresh milk and cream, sourced and processed in a single day. Options include gluten-free, reduced sugar, lactose-free, and dairy-free sorbets.
This Britannia Beach shop marks the company’s 14th retail location and their first in Western Canada. The shop is located near Howe Sound, along the route between Vancouver and Whistler.
