Desi Indian Lounge in Downtown Vancouver has introduced new Happy Hour food and drink features available daily from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and again from 9:30 p.m. until close. The twin service windows give diners more chances to enjoy the restaurant’s modern Indian menu and cocktail program at accessible prices.
Food options include a range of $9 to $10 small plates such as Paneer or Chicken Thepla Tacos, Nachos, Chili, Momos, Gobi Manchurian, and Shimla Kebabs, along with Chicken Lollipops and Kerala Pepper Chicken.
Cocktail offerings feature a curated lineup of $20 house drinks like Valley of the Spirits with yogurt-washed Amrut and cumin foam, Bengal Martini with bay leaf tea and olive achar, and City of Dreams, a Masala Chai-infused vodka highball. Guests can also order Tamarind or Jalapeño Margaritas, Aperol Spritzes ($11), Mango or Strawberry Mojitos ($6.50), and local BC craft beers ($5). Classic highballs, wine pours, and Mango Lassis are also available.
Located at 1355 Hornby Street, Desi Indian Lounge opened earlier this year and gained a following for bold Indian flavours served with modern technique. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
