BC Place in Vancouver has launched a series of major food and beverage initiatives that mark a new era for the venue. The stadium has become the first in Canada to introduce a reusable cup program across all beer, wine, and cocktail sales, reinforcing their sustainability commitment and goal of achieving Zero Waste Certification by 2026.

Developed in collaboration with Vancouver-based ShareWares, the reusable cup system replaces single-use cups with durable alternatives that can be collected, washed, and reused. Guests return their empty cups to designated bins located throughout the venue, after which the cups are sanitized at the ShareWares Mount Pleasant facility and prepared for future events. The system was initially tested in select areas before expanding stadium-wide this fall.
Food offerings at BC Place are also evolving with a new permanent Indigenous dish. The Salmon and Bannock Burger, created with Chef Andrew George of the Wet’suwet’en Bear Clan, brings Indigenous culinary traditions to the stadium’s menu. Chef George, known as the first Indigenous Red Seal chef in British Columbia, partnered with BC Place and Sodexo Live! to craft the burger, which is now available at Beast on Fire locations in sections 217 and 236. Future plans include the introduction of additional Indigenous-inspired items and the creation of a dedicated Indigenous concession.
The stadium is further advancing convenience with British Columbia’s first self-serve alcohol concession, located at section 215. Guests aged 19 and older can select their preferred beverages and snacks and complete their transactions using self-checkout technology. This first phase will expand to a fully cashierless concession model in the coming months.
These updates align with a broader modernization of BC Place, reflecting their commitment to sustainability, cultural representation, and improved fan experiences. Visitors can view the current event schedule at bcplace.com.
