Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) will host their 2025 International Convention in Vancouver from July 3 to 6, bringing together tens of thousands of members and guests to mark the Fellowship’s 90th anniversary.

The convention, held every five years, commemorates the 1935 founding of A.A., when one person shared a message of recovery with another. Since then, A.A. has grown into a global community of over 1.6 million members across more than 180 countries.
Convention events will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre and BC Place Stadium, beginning with a large-scale Block Party on Thursday night featuring music, dancing, and fellowship. The opening ceremony will showcase members from more than 80 countries, each carrying a flag representing A.A.’s presence around the world.
Attendees will gather for three Big Meetings inside BC Place Stadium, among the largest A.A. meetings held globally. Other programming includes an Old Timers meeting for those with long-term sobriety, over 250 workshops and panels in various languages, and hospitality suites hosted by groups from around the world.
A.A. offers its recovery program to anyone seeking help for a drinking problem. For local meetings and support, visit aa.org or explore the Meeting Guide app.
