% Arabica was established by Kenneth Shoji in 2013, with its global flagship store opening in Kyoto, Japan, in 2014. The brand quickly attracted a dedicated following thanks to its exceptional coffee and sophisticated, timeless store design.

Kenneth Shoji’s inspiration to create % Arabica stemmed from his desire for an unparalleled daily coffee experience coupled with excellent customer service. To immerse himself in the coffee industry, he purchased a coffee farm in Hawaii, started a green bean trading company, exported Japanese coffee roasting machines, and became a distributor for Slayer. With this wealth of experience, Shoji launched % Arabica, driven by his vision to grow the brand internationally. This vision is encapsulated in the % Arabica motto: “See the World Through Coffee.”

% Arabica has expanded rapidly, now boasting over 188 stores across 24 countries in North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
