Greyhound Tavern brings English-style pub dining, weekend brunch and a late-night lounge to Burnaby’s Brentwood neighbourhood. The venue from Freehouse Collective pairs draught beer and cocktails with steaks, fresh-shucked oysters and pub favourites.
The menu moves from Prawn Cocktails and Giant Onion Rings to mains including Spaghetti Bolognese and Fish & Chips. The selection gives guests options for a few plates over drinks or a full dinner.
Weekend and holiday mornings feature a brasserie-style brunch, with Steak & Eggs, Benedicts and Smoked Salmon Lox among the offerings. Afternoon and late-night happy hours are also part of the format, alongside pub games and screens dedicated to live sports.
The redesigned interior features substantial millwork, deep booths and eclectic artwork. Lower lighting shifts the atmosphere towards a lounge in the evening, with DJs playing on weekend nights until close.
The Drawing Room provides a separate private dining space above the main floor, with doors that close for more secluded gatherings. Outside, a streetside patio lined with trees includes a heated lawn bowling lane, adding another activity alongside food and drinks.
