Oasis Terrarium Studio is a new spot in Vancouver offering workshops where you can learn to build your own terrarium.
If you’re not familiar, a terrarium is similar to an aquarium but designed for plants. It can be created in nearly any glass container and is arranged to resemble a miniature garden or forest, enclosed in its own self-contained environment.
Oasis Studio offers intimate instructor-led workshops where you can build a beautiful terrarium with their premium materials.
I attended one of their workshops and here’s how it went.
First of all, I really liked the charming, aesthetic, rustic and calm studio space.
The materials and tools to build the terrarium are laid out at your station. That includes a terrarium glass vase, premium organic soil, activated charcoal, lava rocks, pumice, clay leca balls and so forth.
They provide a set of tools for you to use as well.
A fun part of the workshop was going “shopping” where you can select the mini plants, premium stones, and mini figures you want to include in your terrarium.
Afterwards, we took our time to layer in the components of the terrarium using different techniques and tools.
It was fun to unleash our creativity while designing our own terrarium.
