La Saison de Patisserie in Renfrew Heights, A New Favourite

I think I found my new favourite patisserie in Vancouver!  La Saison de Patisserie is Chef-owned and operated patisserie in Renfrew Heights by Jennifer Luk who trained at PICA and at several acclaimed pastries and bakeries in Metro Vancouver.

The Persimmon Danish had a light sweetness from the fresh persimmon, paired with smooth chocolate mousse on crisp pastry.

The Apple Pie was nostalgic, with tart Granny Smith apples and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg balanced by a touch of caramel.

I really loved the Mont Blanc Cream Cake with chestnut cream, roasted chestnut, and Chantilly that came together in a satisfying but not too sweet dessert!

The Matcha Yuzu Cake, decorated with a small Halloween spider blended matcha with yuzu over a black sesame base.

The Pumpkin Jack features Japanese Kombucha pumpkin mousse with pumpkin spiced vanilla cremuxe, chiffon and cookie.

The Sweet Potato Crème Brûlée Double Baked Croissant is the participating croissant in the Metro Vancovuer Croissant Crawl.  Filled with roasted sweet potato paste and double baked with the classic French crème brûlée custard. It is covered by a layer of crunchy caramelized sugar.  Paried with Hot Sweet Potato Milk with Matcha Foam.
