Fresh Press Coffee Bar is a local café brand that has been around since 2012, serving ethically sourced coffee and in-house baked goods. They have three locations with two in Richmond (Alderbridge and Paramount) and one in Vancouver in collaboration with Daan Go Cake Lab.

I visited the Alderbridge location, a cozy spot that feels just right for a quiet coffee or catching up with a friend.


For drinks, the Caramel Macchiato was creamy with a balanced caramel sweetness.

The Matcha Espresso Infusion had a sharper profile, combining earthy matcha with bold espresso for something more distinct.

This café menu brings together classic coffee favourites, creative tea lattes, and refreshing matcha blends. Smoothies range from tropical fruit mixes to creamy mango and pineapple. Light bites housemade treats like cookies, cake, Basque burnt cheesecake, Japanese fluffy cheesecake and more.

They offer small housemade treats prepared in small batch quantities. The housemade cookies were delicious! The Sea Salt Chocolate had a balance of sweet and savoury; the Earl Grey Shortbread was lightly floral; the Pistachio Butter had a nutty richness; and the Hojicha carried roasted green tea notes.



The Housemade tiramisu cake also paired well with the drinks, layered with espresso-soaked sponge and cream that is smooth and light.
