Best Fortune is celebrating the arrival of warmer weather with a month-long feature on Cold Pot Skewers, a chilled Chengdu street-food favourite that brings together over 40 varieties of skewered meats, seafood, and vegetables. Known for its bold seasoning and satisfying textures, the dish is available all April at the Richmond restaurant, located on Alexandra Road.

Cold Pot Skewers are served in a seasoned, chilled broth with flavour options that include the signature Sichuan Spicy Pepper, Ox Bone, and Dry Chili Mix. New this month is a House Tomato Broth, offering a milder option with a savoury-tangy profile.
From now through April 30, guests who order 30 or more skewers and a broth will receive a complimentary set of sides: two snack dishes and one steamed rice. Snacks include Brown Sugar Sticky Rice Cake, Sichuan Spicy Beef, Spicy Dumplings, and Chicken Soup Wontons.
For a larger meal, Best Fortune is offering a Cold Pot Skewer & Signature Dish Set featuring 30 chef’s choice skewers and a full-sized Sichuan-style main like Clams & Chicken, Mapo Beef Brisket, or Chengdu Lamb Hotpot.
The Food Lover Set for Two ($39) includes a starter, choice of main—such as Green Peppercorn Sauerkraut Fish or Spicy Sichuan Sizzling Fish—plus rice and soft drinks. The full menu is ideal for diners looking to share, explore, and enjoy bold flavours in a casual setting.
