Locanda dell’Orso, affectionately known as the “Inn of the Bear,” is hosting a Hibernation Harvest on Monday, November 18, 2024, in downtown Vancouver. This special event features a 5-course Italian dining experience that celebrates the cozy flavours of autumn, offering seasonal comfort food with innovative twists. Priced at $139 per person, guests will enjoy rich, authentic Italian dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, all served family-style.

Highlights of the menu include the Pizzoccheri Valtellinesi, a traditional dish featuring buckwheat pasta, potatoes, cabbage, and a creamy bitto cheese sauce. The main course, Stuffed Lamb Saddle, combines ceps, pork sausage, and celeriac purée, served with a juniper and raisin-infused meat jus. Dessert lovers will be intrigued by the Black Garlic Tiramisù, which incorporates black garlic eggnog, coffee kombucha, and a liquorice glaze for a unique twist on a classic. An optional wine pairing is available for $69, which includes a 5oz glass of wine with each course.
