Vancouver Firefighter Charities (VFC) and Parq Vancouver will send temperatures soaring when the downtown entertainment complex’s posh D/6 Bar and Lounge plays host to the official launch party for the 2023 Hall of Flame Calendar on Wednesday, October 26 at 7 p.m.
A limited number of tickets to the event, which offers the opportunity to get up close and personal with the 13 firefighters from the Lower Mainland and Kamloops featured in the pages of the 2023 calendar, are available for $24.99, with all proceeds going to support VFC’s community support programs and the BC Burn Fund.
Earlier this year, Parq Vancouver signed on as title sponsor of the calendar project that has been a labour of love and huge component of the VFC’s fundraising initiatives since its debut in 1988.
Each year, professional firefighters volunteer their time to model and citizen volunteers and VFC representatives donate their time and expertise to produce the glossy calendar that has raised more than a million dollars for BC charities and local communities.
Pre-sales of the 2023 calendar are now available for $19.99 at the VFC website, but hot-off-the-press copies will also be available to purchase for just $9.99 at the launch party, where models will also sign copies for guests.
Beyond the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, proceeds from the 2023 calendar sales and tickets to the launch party will also benefit VFC charitable programs like Snacks for Kids and Lifelines for Seniors that benefit at-risk youth and seniors in communities throughout BC.
