Vancouver Fall Home Show 2022 will toast its 40th year and mark the occasion by bringing together the best and brightest in home and renovation.

Today, the Show unveils its top must-see attractions and features that Showgoers won’t want to miss.

With hundreds of experts like Sebastian Clovis, renovator and host of HGTV Canada’s Gut Job, all under one roof, there will be great deals, new ideas and inspiration at every turn.

Four days only – October 20-23, 2022 – at the Vancouver Convention Centre – West.

Here is an insider look at the top trends and features at the Vancouver Fall Home Show: 

Mindful Interiors

With many of us feeling like we spent too much time indoors over the past two years, it’s no surprise that a trend of this year’s Show is bringing the outdoors in to create spaces that feel restorative and more connected to nature.

The Coastal Lounge presented by Rogers Communication and designed by Amanda Haines Lazeski of Studio Haines Interiors, will be leaning into this trend and featuring Plantsome and Plenish Furniture Co., a premium subscription service for furniture!

From earth tones to natural textures and plants, Showgoers will get expert advice and inspiration on how to transform their home into an inspiring retreat. 

Bold Colours + Prints

Colour is ingrained in our senses and experiences. It can evoke emotions and change the personality of a home.

Bringing together colours and prints is one of the most powerful ways to reinvigorate and create dimension in any space.

The inspiration for every palette will be around each corner of the Show, including the Wonder-Wall feature designed by Taylor Reiko Designs where Taylor will be mixing inspiration from three themes.

Also, presentations from author, designer, and TV co-host – Tiffany Pratt on Friday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 22 at 1:00 p.m. on The Sleep Country Main Stage, presented by the Vancouver Sun

Simplified Spaces

There are many benefits to simplifying your home. It can improve mental clarity, decrease stress and provide more room for enjoyment.

It is no wonder that binge worthy shows like The Home Edit and Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo are so popular and the professional organizing industry is in high-demand. 

This year’s Show will give Vancouverites plenty of confidence to take on their next home organization project when they hear headliner, Megan Golightly from GoSimplified as she links neuroscience and personal organization during her presentations on on The Sleep Country

Main Stage, presented by the Vancouver Sun on Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 23 at 12:00 p.m.

Then, make sure to visit the Home Clean Home feature presented by Crescent Living Co., providing a live “before & after” scene of a bedroom.

Showgoers will leave inspired by the difference home organization can make in their daily lives.

Support Local

Buying local helps reduce consumers’ environmental impact and supports small businesses.

Back by popular demand, GOT CRAFT Pop Up Market, presented by The Province is where Showgoers will be able to find local artisan made jewelry, ceramics, clothing, artisan food + drink, paper goods and more.

Showgoers will also want to make sure to visit m(ART)ket for a one-stop shop to dress up their walls with this curated collection of canvases, prints and photographs by award-winning local artists including Mike Crane PhotographyJenna Jones ArtTiffany Reid Art and Theresa Eaton Fine Art

There will also be lots of other local projects, vendors and voices on display at this year’s Show, including family-owned DMC ContractingBlue Grouse Wine CellarsQ Living and Premier Audio Video Integration.

From your kitchen design to your kitchen plate, Showgoers can get excited about the culinary talent that will be at this year’s Show.

The culinary presenters include local talent such as Joanna Tymkiw, Vancouver-born purpose-driven chef and food journalist, Bruno Feldeisen, French chef, restaurateur and TV personality, Kevin Reimer, innovation chef at Meal Ticket Brands – a virtual restaurant network by The Joseph Richard Group, and Dawn Doucette, local legend and Top Chef Canada competitor. 

High Functioning Technology

Incorporating smart technology into your home isn’t necessarily even a trend anymore than it is an expectation.

Each year technology is adapting, improving and changing to make our home lives easier, more secure and entertaining.

At this year’s Show, Sinopé, known for its whole-home smart solutions, will be showcasing a wide variety of technologies including its smart water damage protection system product line.

Also be sure to visit the BC Hydro Learning Centre to find information on saving money while going green with your power and tips to help you save. 

The Vancouver Fall Show Show runs from Thursday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m. to Sunday, October 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Vancouver Convention Centre – West.
