Burnaby taco and burrito lovers can rejoice knowing that Tacofino Metrotown is softly opening on Friday, February 2nd offering the newly-launched breakfast menu alongside lunch, dinner, and—of course—happy hour, seven days a week. The 40-seat restaurant is located in the new Station Square development at 6036 McKay Avenue and brings Tacofino’s signature blend of chill vibes, bold flavours, and design-forward décor to the heart of the neighbourhood.
The inviting space was built by Made by Pacific and features design by Shiloh Sukkau and graphics by Courtney Presber. Together, these long-time friends of Tacofino have helped create the design language that makes every Tacofino unique to its place but connected by a common aesthetic which welcomes guests from Vancouver Island to the Lower Mainland and Sea to Sky Country.
Tacofino’s culinary team has been hard at work creating an expanded menu which combines iconic Tacofino favourites like the fish taco and crispy chicken burrito with new options like Gringas, piping hot cheesy perfection made with cheese, lime crema, salsa fresca, and choice of protein inside a freshly grilled tortilla. New options also include Soft & Crunchies, which wrap a soft-shell tortilla and crunchy taco shell around irresistible Tacofino fillings for double delicious flavour combinations.
Tacofino Metrotown is celebrating its February 9th to 11th grand opening weekend by giving away a coupon for a free taco to the first 500 guests each day. Taco lovers can enjoy the delicious arrival of Tacofino on the opening weekend, then come back again between March 1st to April 30th for their favourite taco on the house!
