Rewild Wine is marking National Wine Day on May 25 with a focus on sustainably crafted, vegan-friendly wines available in select provinces across Canada.

The Australian wine brand is highlighting their regenerative approach to winemaking, with wines produced through practices that support soil health, biodiversity, water conservation, and lower-emission production. The brand is rooted in Australia’s Southern Murray Darling region and works through Duxton Vineyards, where farming and production decisions are shaped around restoring land and reducing environmental impact.
National Wine Day offers a timely connection for Canadian consumers looking at how wine is produced, packaged, and transported. Rewild Wine positions their bottles around a lower-impact model, including regenerative farming, composting, native vegetation protection, sustainable packaging, and local bottling in Canada through Andrew Peller Limited.
Rewild Wine’s Sustainability Practices
Rewild Wine is produced with a focus on regenerative agriculture, a farming approach that aims to improve soil health and support biodiversity over time. At Duxton Vineyards, vineyard by-products are repurposed and returned to the soil to support future grape harvests and reduce waste.
The winery has prevented more than 750 tonnes of CO2 emissions and uses green energy storage technology, including a hybrid hydrogen battery as part of their renewable energy efforts. Water conservation is another major part of the brand’s approach, with up to 150 million litres of water recycled annually.
Rewild has also planted more than 20 species of trees and shrubs across 70 hectares of land while maintaining more than 2,000 hectares of native vegetation. Their packaging includes lightweight glass bottles, recycled Stelvin caps, 100% post-consumer wastepaper labels, and SFI-certified cartons.
In Canada, Rewild partners with Andrew Peller Limited for local bottling, which helps reduce transportation-related emissions while bringing the wines to Canadian retail shelves.
Rewild Pinot Grigio
Rewild Pinot Grigio is a light-bodied, dry, and fresh white wine with pear, citrus, and Granny Smith apple notes. The palate has varietal clarity, concentration, and a touch of sweetness on the finish. This vegan-friendly wine is suited to lighter meals, seafood, salads, and casual spring or summer dining.
Rewild Cabernet Sauvignon
Rewild Cabernet Sauvignon is medium-bodied, dry, and concentrated, with dark fruit, red fruit, blackcurrant, blueberry, black olive, dried herb, and brambly notes. The wine has fine tannins, fresh acidity, and mid-palate sweetness, making it a suitable pairing for grilled dishes, barbecue dinners, and cooler evening meals.
