Sweet Talk Donuts is a go-to stop for creative doughnuts and café favourites in Port Moody. Created by the team behind Taps & Tacos, the shop focuses on fresh doughnuts, simple breakfast options, and drinks in a relaxed neighbourhood setting.
On our visit, we tried several doughnuts along with breakfast sandwiches and drinks.
The Sweet Talk Donut, their signature item, was soft with a pleasant sweetness that worked well with coffee. The Cinnamon Twist had a light texture with an even coating of cinnamon sugar, making it an easy choice for those who enjoy classic flavours.
The Raspberry Stuffie had a good amount of raspberry filling that added brightness without being too sweet. Creme Brulee featured caramelized notes that gave the doughnut a dessert-like finish.
The Biscoff Cheesecake doughnut offered a creamy filling with familiar spiced cookie flavours, while the Vanilla Glaze kept things simple with a soft dough and light glaze.
We also tried both breakfast sandwiches, which make Sweet Talk a convenient morning stop. The Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich featured soft scrambled eggs, melted cheese, sriracha mayo, and chives on a brioche bun, making for a comforting and satisfying bite. The Bacon Egg & Cheese version added bacon for extra savoury flavour while keeping the sandwich balanced and easy to eat. The Truffle Parmesan Hashbrown Bites were crisp and delicious.
For drinks, the Salted Sakura Latte carried a gentle floral note with mild sweetness, while the Iced Honey Lavender Tea was refreshing and lightly aromatic, offering a nice option alongside doughnuts.
The shop feels welcoming and easygoing, with blue upholstered benches, tall stools, and quiet booths that give guests space to sit and enjoy their treats instead of rushing out the door.
