The Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) is inviting culinary aficionados to strike while the ’Iron is hot and enjoy a limited-time-only 10% off promotion on one of its most popular private events — the ‘Iron Chef Experience’ — throughout January and February.

A long-time fan favourite and staple on PICA’s lineup of cooking classes, the Iron Chef Experience is perfectly suited for corporate events and team-building activities, anniversaries, birthday and bridal parties and all types of celebrations.
The Iron Chef Experience accommodates groups of up to 40 and divides participants into groups that are presented with a secret ingredient they must use to prepare two courses in one hour. After the countdown ends and a PICA chef judges the courses, a winning team is crowned as Iron Chef champions before all guests gather to enjoy a three-course menu prepared by PICA’s culinary team.
Each event is fully customizable and includes an hour of cooking time in PICA’s kitchens; all necessary ingredients; take-home PICA branded aprons for each guest; feedback from PICA chefs; and a three-course dinner served in the PICA dining room.
Optional add-ons also include wine and craft beer served in the kitchen and/or during dinner service; grazing boards to enjoy before and during the Iron Chef event; wine pairings hand-picked by PICA’s team of sommeliers.
The three-course celebration menu following the Iron Chef challenge offers guests a choice of Tuna Tataki (grated daikon, pickled winter vegetable, yuzu ponzu, fried leek); Salt-Baked Potato(Sieglinde potato, caramelized whey, puffed wild rice); or Winter Squash Soup (crème fraîche, croutons, herb oil) as a first course and Braised Prairie Rancher Grass Fed Short Rib (winter root vegetable, sauerkraut, galbi sauce, gremolata); Pan-Seared Pacific Lingcod (saffron acquerello risotto, winter vegetable, horseradish beurre blanc) or Wild & Cultivated Mushroom Risotto(saffron acquerello risotto, roasted mushroom, Parmigiano Reggiano) and a Chef’s Choice for dessert.
