Newly opened in the West End neighbourhood is Pho In Love, a family-owned and operated restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

The menu features classic noodle soups, rice dishes, and more.

I visited them on their first day of opening where they had a 30% off pho promotion. I went with their most premium pho option which was the Pho In Love Signature Beef Noodle Soup ($28.50). It is a very large bowl of pho with beef broth along with rare beef, slow-cooked beef rib, oxtail, brisket, tripe, tendon, beef ball and a poached egg soup on the side. I thought the broth was rich and aromatic, layered with the sweetness of long-simmered bones and spices. In general, the beef was very tender but I would have liked the beef rib and oxtail to be more tender. The noodles were smooth, and the garnishes of onions and cilantro added a fresh finish.

My friend had the chicken noodle soup in their signature chicken broth and he enjoyed it.

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with warm lighting and wooden furnishings. Service is efficient and the portion was reasonable.

Overall, a good experience and I would recommend them! Pho in love is located at 1725 Davie St, Vancouver and is below street level.
