The meal begins with a Little Gem Lettuce Salad, made with Bartlett pear, fennel, housemade brioche croutons, pomegranate seeds and citrus vinaigrette. I enjoyed the mix of crisp lettuce, juicy pear and tart pomegranate. The brioche croutons added a buttery crunch, and the citrus vinaigrette kept the salad bright and refreshing.

Guests can then choose from three main courses.

The Seared Sablefish features white miso and sake-marinated sablefish with roasted fingerling potatoes, scallops, chorizo and sauce bouillabaisse. The sablefish was tender and rich, with a mild sweetness from the miso and sake marinade. I liked how the scallops and chorizo brought contrasting seafood and smoky flavours to the plate.

The Braised Beef Short Ribs are served with mashed potato colcannon, grilled broccolini and crispy onions. The beef was tender and deeply savoury, and the creamy colcannon made this the most comforting option. The broccolini helped balance the richness, and the crispy onions added texture.

The vegetarian and gluten-free Plant-Based Poke Bowl combines crisp banana blossom, brown rice, avocado, cucumber, mango and grape tomato with sriracha aioli. This would be my choice for the main course. I liked the contrast between the crisp banana blossom, creamy avocado and sweet mango. The sriracha aioli added a gentle heat without overpowering the fresh ingredients.

Dessert is a Sticky Toffee Pudding served with vanilla ice cream. The pudding was warm, soft and caramel-like, with the vanilla ice cream melting into the sauce. It was rich and sweet, but the cold ice cream helped balance each bite.

My ideal three-course meal would begin with the Little Gem Lettuce Salad, followed by the Plant-Based Poke Bowl and finished with the Sticky Toffee Pudding.

A $30 wine pairing is available, featuring BC VQA and international selections chosen for each course.

P2B Bistro & Bar’s Dine Out Vancouver menu is available from January 21 to February 8, 2026.
