New Vinnie’s Wine & Snack Bar Pops Up At Pica’s Blue Hat Bakery-Café On Granville Island

Vinnie brings the vino to the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) as the Vinnie’s Wine + Snack Bar pops up for a limited time to offer a curated list of sips, snacks and summer savoir faire at PICA’s Blue Hat Bakery-Café (1505 West 2nd Ave., entrance on Anderson Street).

Open Thursdays through Saturdays from 3 to 8 p.m. with ‘Happy Hour’ features on Thursdays and Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m., Vinnie’s offers a rotating list of Old-, New- and out-of-this-World wines selected by award-winning Wine Director Anna Collard, paired with a menu of snacks courtesy of Top Chef Canada finalist ‘Dez’ Lo and Heedong Choi, formerly of beloved Fraserhood eatery Ubuntu Canteen. 

Some of Vinnie’s current standout varietals available by the glass and bottle include Lightning Rock Pinot Noir Pet-Nat (BC), ‘Tractor & Vines’ Pinot Noir Rosé (BC), Martin Ray ‘Concrete’ Chardonnay (USA), Collestefano IGT Biancho Verdicchio (IT), Sarnin-Berrux ‘Bojo Sutra’ Gamay (FR) and Moravia Agria Garnacha/Tintorera (ES), among others.

On the snacks and small plates side of the ledger, Vinnie’s dishes include Marinated Mixed Olives(aged balsamic, sherry vinegar, citrus, fresh herbs, garlic), Burrata (chickpeas, sweet cherry peppers, cucumber, nuoc cham)Beef Tartare (yuzu, shallots, fried capers, chives, wonton strips) and more.
