La Boulangerie has opened its doors in Port Coquitlam, offering a delightful selection of small-batch created French pastries. This family-owned bakery, run by husband-and-wife team Apinya and Steve, showcases their expertise and love for baking in their first brick-and-mortar location.
I had indulged in their lovely baked goods when they operated out of Coho Commissary as Steve’s Gourmet Foods in Vancouver and it was really lovely to see them bring their well-loved creations to the heart of the Tri-Cities.
Drawing from Steve’s French roots, the bakery embodies the traditions of a classic French patisserie. Guests can enjoy the aroma of freshly baked goods while observing the pastry-making process through the open kitchen. The atmosphere is inviting, and the pastries themselves speak volumes about the craftsmanship.
I had the chance to try some of their offerings which included:
