The legendary Monkey Shoulder Whisky and celebrated hip-hop artist DJ Skratch Bastid are set to embark on a cheeky Canada-wide tour of Bastid’s BBQ, with its upcoming stop in Vancouver at The Birdhouse on Sunday, August 16th.

When the world’s most epic whisky mixes it up with the hottest BBQ party in town, Vancouverites can expect an unforgettable day filled with ‘Monkey’ magic and more. Doors open at 3 PM.
As all good things come in threes, the highly anticipated travelling BBQ party will feature all seasonal favourites under one roof – Monkey-mixed cocktails, global hip-hop artists, and craveable bites, to get Canadians ‘Monkeyed’ up this sun-drenched season.

The hip cocktail menu will feature refreshing serves such as the O.M.G – Orange.Monkey.Ginger Cocktail to complement the delicious food menu.


That’s not all, the artists lineup include – Bambii, Big Jacks & Angela Apigo, Dâm-Funk, DJ Iku, DJ Nu-Mark, DJ Syrehn, Fly Lady Di, FS Green, Kiinjo, Myst Milano, Pharoahe Monch & Jim Sharp.
Monkey Shoulder Whisky, the world’s best whisky “Made for Mixing” and Canada’s celebrated hip hop artist, DJ Skratch Bastid recently joined hands to bring a one-of-a-kind travelling BBQ party to select cities across the country.

Starting with its first stop in Calgary on July 8th, the BBQ party stopped in Winnipeg on July 16th, Toronto on July 29th & 30th, and now continues on to Vancouver on August 13th, and Edmonton on August 26th.


Bastid’s BBQ 2022 witnessed sold-out crowds and hosted the who’s who of the hip hop and DJ culture.
Notable guests have included DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, Maseo, Brother Ali, A Trak, Pete Rock, Lord Finesse and many, many more.

Here’s how you can mix up Monkeyed cocktails at home and bring the ‘spirit’ of the BBQ party to your backyard.
OMG – Orange. Monkey. Ginger
You’ll Need:
- 50ml Monkey Shoulder
- 120ml Dry Ginger Ale
- 1 Orange Wedge
How to Mix:
- Fill a long glass with ice.
- Pour in Monkey Shoulder and ginger ale.
- Gently stir and garnish with the orange wedge.
Monkey Colada
You’ll Need:
- 50ml Monkey Shoulder
- 80ml Coconut Water
- 100ml Fresh pineapple
- 15ml Fresh lime juice
- 5ml Sugar syrup
- 5ml Cinnamon liqueur (float)
How to Mix:
- Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
- Add a dash of sugar syrup.
- Pour into a tall glass.
- Garnish with pineapple.
- Float the cinnamon liqueur.
