Guests can choose from three starters: Mosaic Greens with compressed rhubarb, pickled onion, and goat cheese; Tomato Bisque served with herb focaccia and aged cheddar; or Seafood Chowder made with BC seafood, fennel, and croutons.
For mains, there’s Farmcrest Chicken Breast with potato gratin, snap peas, and baby carrots; Ocean Wise Salmon with a lemon parmesan herb crust, fingerling potatoes, and beurre blanc; or the vegetarian Miso Cauliflower Steak with asparagus, king oyster mushroom, edamame, and couscous.
Dessert options include Mosaic Chocolate Cake with seasonal berries and Chantilly or a classic Crème Brûlée.
I went with the three-course option and ordered the Seafood Chowder, Ocean Wise Salmon, and Mosaic Chocolate Cake.
The Seafood Chowder was rich without being heavy—loaded with BC seafood and finished with croutons and a touch of fennel.
The Ocean Wise Salmon had a golden herb crust and was perfectly tender.
The Mosaic Chocolate Cake was a smooth, dense slice served with seasonal berries and Chantilly. Not overly sweet and definitely satisfying.
The Taste of Vancouver prix-fixe is a better deal than ordering the same dishes à la carte, and the selections are easy to enjoy. It’s a solid choice for both locals and visitors.
