Gringo is getting into summer fiesta season with an array of new features that bring the heat at its trio of local hotspots in Gastown (27 Blood Alley Square), the West End (1074 Davie Street) and its newest location in North Van’s Lower Lonsdale district (100 2ndStreet E) throughout July.
Gringo’s new North Shore location will serve as the launching pad for the brand’s new eponymous ‘Gringo Lager’ — a locally brewed, clean, crisp, and sessionable lager that’s been years in the making. Gringo Lager will be featured exclusively at Gringo North Vancouver to start and available to-go in six-packs for $18 plus tax with take-out orders (limit two six packs per guest).
It pairs perfectly with the new summer-centric Shrimp Luis Tostada dish that recently debuted on the North Vancouver menu that comprises wild Pacific shrimp, romaine lettuce, red pickled onions and jalapeño crema for $5.25 each.
The new Gringo Lager will also be a marquee component in the launch of North Van location’s new ‘Chihuahua’ drink feature — a tongue-in-cheek twist on the beloved Mexican Bulldog beer & margarita mixer that comprises Gringo Lager dipped into a bucket of Margarita with a choice of tequila starting at $21.75 plus tax.
All three locations will also showcase a summer Tacos-and-Jarritos Lunch Feature from noon to 4 p.m. daily that offers guests the choice between a three pack of tacos and one bottle of Jarritos for $14.50 plus tax or a six-pack of tacos and two bottles of Jarritos for $27.50 plus tax; and celebrate National Tequila Day on Wednesday, July 24 with $5 well shots or $10 shots of premium Tres Generaciones tequilas available from open to close.
Gringo’s Davie Village location will also show its pride and embrace its home in the heart of one of the city’s most vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods by featuring food and drink specials for dine in service from noon to midnight daily throughout Pride Weekend celebrations taking place from August 2 to 5.
Gringo’s North Vancouver, Gastown and West End locations are open for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis Sundays through Thursdays from noon to 1 a.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 2 a.m.
