Greendale Acres Fall Events Highlights 2024

Greendale Acres is warming hearts and giving friends and families the chance to gather together down on the farm this fall with a full lineup of interactive fun for kids of all ages at the beloved Chilliwack farmstead (41905 Yale Road West).

The farm will host events that include a Summer Send Off Festival, Fairy Tale and Super Hero Themed Days, Family Yoga Class, licensed Fireside Music Night, events honouring First Responders and the Indigenous community at large for National Truth and Reconciliation Day, and more.

Greendale Acres’ full breadth of immersive experiences, which includes a Pumpkin Patch, U-Pick Flower Gardens, Corn Maze and Picnic Areas — will be available during all events, as well as kid-centric activities that include a Jumping Pillow, Adventure Course, Bubble Bar, Pedal Cart Track, Hay Bale Maze, Animal Displays, Farm Carousel and more. The full fall event calendar at Greendale Acres features the following:

TRACTOR DAYS

  • Dates:
    • Saturday, Sept. 7th: 10 a.m – 9 p.m
    • Sunday, Sept. 8th: 10 a.m – 6 p.m
  • Admission Price: $16 online / $19 at the door / members included
  • Activities: Get up close with tractors and heavy equipment, sit in the driver’s seat, take photos, and see machines in action during tractor rides around the farm.

FAMILY YOGA

  • Date: Sunday, Sept. 8th / 1-2 p.m.
  • Admission Price: $16 online / $19 at the door / members included
  • Details: 45-minute family yoga session led by Wilde Wellness, combining poses with affirmations, helping youngsters understand their inner strength through nature, and including a scavenger hunt. Bring your own mats (towels for kids are fine!). In case of rain, the event will be held in Greendale’s covered pavilion.

FAIRY TALE & SUPERHERO DAY ON THE FARM

  • Date: Saturday, Sept. 14th / 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Admission Price: $16 online / $19 at the door / members included
  • Activities: Dress up as your favourite fairy tale character and meet Rapunzel; get up close with Spider-Man, test skills in an interactive superhero-themed obstacle course, and enjoy web cotton candy and spider-bites popcorn.

FIRST RESPONDER DAY

  • Date: Saturday, Sept. 21st / 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Admission Price: $16 online / $19 at the door / members included
  • Free for First Responders: 10 a.m to 9 p.m
  • Activities: Meet local heroes like firefighters, police, EMTs, and Search and Rescue workers. This event features equipment, vehicles, and personnel from local first responder teams.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

  • Date: Friday, Sept. 27th / 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Admission Price: $16 online / $19 at the door / members included
  • Special Offer: All grandparents visit free when accompanied by a grandchild paying general admission or with a membership.

FIRESIDE MUSIC NIGHT

  • Date: Saturday, Sept. 28th / 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Admission: 19+ event; Fire Pit for up to six guests $150 / up to eight guests $200
  • Details: Enjoy music by Larry Edwards around a private fire pit, with food, beer, and wine.

TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY

  • Date: Monday, Sept. 30th / 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Free Admission: For all Indigenous Community Members
  • Activities: Wear orange, participate in a Sharing of Culture ceremony, and enjoy traditional Bannock bread from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Partial proceeds will support the Memiyelhtel Indigenous Youth Mentorship Program.

PRINCESS DAY IN THE PUMPKIN PATCH

  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 5th / 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m.
  • Admission Price: $18 online / $21 at the door / members included
  • Activities: Meet Cinderella in the pumpkin patch, enjoy autumn celebrations, and take home a pumpkin as a keepsake.
