Forage Restaurant, a farm-to-table restaurant in Downtown Vancouver, is offering the Best of BC menu priced at $65 per person showcasing local ingredients.

To start, I went with the Cast Iron Corn Bread add-on with local cheddar and spicy honey.

My first course choice was the bright Heirloom Tomato Salad with brioche croutons and cilantro chili lime dressing.

My main was the Oceanwise Salmon with Kennebec potato gnocchi, English peas, spicy toasted breadcrumbs

Finishing off was an Elderflower Crème Caramel with spruce, compressed rhubarb & strawberries.

Another items we tried included the 12 oz New York striploin, garlic scape pomme purée, green
beans and marrow butter.

For drinks, I had the Sunny BC Apple Ginger mocktail with fresh squeezed apple juice, root-side
ginger syrup, fresh lime juice, soda.

By the way, Forage is a participating restaurant in West End Spend Local Dollars. See the West End BIA website for details.

Overall, I thought the menu was delicious and reasonable. Check out the Best of BC menu at Forage.
