The Beverage Collective is hosting a series of mixers across Vancouver from April 27 to 28 to mark the upcoming announcement of the 2025 North America’s 50 Best Bars list. These events will feature international bartenders, rare spirits, and collaborations with well-known local venues.

On Sunday, April 27, The Flamingo Room will welcome Eli Martinez of Tlecān in Mexico City. Ranked No. 10 on last year’s North America list and No. 20 globally, Martinez will lead an agave tasting and seminar from 2 to 4 PM, followed by a takeover of the bar from 7 to 10 PM. Tickets are $20 and available through OpenTable, which include a welcome drink, agave tasting, light snacks, and a cocktail during the evening session.
On Monday, April 28, Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions will host The Raven Room bartenders Dani Crowley and Josh Lelay from 3 to 5 PM. Guests can expect cocktails crafted with Elevacion 1250 Tequila, Xila Aperitif, and Solmano Mezcal, with SHOTSKIS adding to the après ski-inspired atmosphere.
Later that evening, LAOWAI will host a late-night gathering featuring bartenders from across North America and Mexico. Guests include Freddy Andreasson and Alejandra De Aguinago of El Gallo Altanero, Max Reis of Mirate, Kate Gerwin of Happy Accidents, Eli Martinez, Joshua Monaghan of Kyomu, and Christine Wisman. The event runs from 10 PM until late and features an agave tasting bar curated by Reis, with DJ Bryn providing the soundtrack.
This marks the first time Vancouver is hosting the 50 Best Bars ceremony, which takes place April 29 at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. The series highlights collaboration between Canadian and international hospitality leaders, putting the spotlight on Vancouver’s cocktail scene.
