Canada’s Great Kitchen Party will bring six competing chefs, Canadian wines and live music to The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The Vancouver All-Star Invitational will decide which chef joins Alex Chen at the Canadian Culinary Championship in Ottawa in January 2027
The competitors are Jasper Cruickshank of L’Abattoir, Bal Ajagaonkar of Desi Indian Lounge, Robert Lee of Five Sails, Bo Li of The Fish Man, Felix Zhou of ATLAS steak + fish, and Clement Chan of The Apron. Guests can taste dishes from the competing chefs and vote for a People’s Choice winner.
Chen, the 2018 Canadian Culinary Champion, has already been named Vancouver’s Chef of Distinction. He and the winner of the October 7 competition will form Vancouver’s two-chef team at the national championship. VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to taste a dish from Chen at the Vancouver event.
Neil Osborne of 54-40 and Colin James will perform with Craig Northey of Odds, Geoffrey Kelley of Spirit of the West, and Dave Osborne of 54-40. Al Murdoch, the voice of the Vancouver Canucks, is scheduled to emcee.
Individual tickets are $450, and VIP tickets are $650. Corporate tables of eight cost $4,500, and VIP tables of eight cost $6,500.
The event supports youth programs, including music education through MusiCounts and sport opportunities through Spirit North. Canada’s Great Kitchen Party says their events have raised $19.9 million for Canadian charities to date.
