C Market Coffee has finally opened their first Vancouver café near Main Street and Queen Elizabeth Park. The Korean-inspired coffee shop brand already has locations in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows.
The Main Street café is large, at around 5,000 square feet with seating for more than 150 people. It has high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and a mix of tables, sofas, armchairs and counter seating. There is an underground parkade too, which makes visiting this part of the neighbourhood easier.
The kitchen menu is much larger than what you would usually find at a coffee shop. It includes breakfast, salads, Korean-inspired bowls, sandwiches, wraps and pasta. Meanwhile, the pastry case is filled with cakes, croissants and more.
At a media preview, I tried the Breakfast Wrap without sauce; Black Sesame Chicken Salad; Avocado Toast and an iced Melon Cloud Latte with oat milk.
The Breakfast Wrap was warm and filling, and I found it flavourful enough without the sauce. The Black Sesame Chicken Salad was fresh and had a nice nutty flavour from the black sesame. The Avocado Toast was simple but satisfying, with creamy avocado and crisp toast.
The Melon Cloud Latte was a unique item that had a sweet honeydew flavour and creamy foam on top, with the espresso keeping it from tasting too much like a dessert.
C Market makes for a nice addition to the neighbourhood and a convenient place to meet over coffee and food.
