Locanda dell’Orso or ‘Inn of the Bear’ in Italian opened up in Downtown Vancouver a few months ago with a family-style menu inspired by Northern and Coastal Italy.

We visited them for dinner and here is what we tried.
To start, there was the Aperol Sour, finished with grated lime zest on egg white foam.

We also had a zero proof Gin & T0%nic.

For starters, we enjoyed the Beets Salad with Macedonian feta, citrus, espresso vinaigrette, and walnuts as well as the fresh and creamy Burrata di Puglia with seasonal accompaniments.

Locanda dell’Orso’s pastas are made in-house and we loved the Gramigna with Dungeness crab, saffron, tomato, and lemon.

There was the Chicken and Beef Stuffed Agnolotti which was also delicious. It is cooked with rosemary and represents cuisine from the Piedmont region. Both pastas we tried were al dente and had great flavour.

To finish off, we had a luxurious and creamy Tiramisu.

The warm and inviting atmosphere makes a great place to enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Locanda dell’Orso is located at 350 W Pender St, Vancouver, BC
