Chilliwack Independent Film Festival returns to the Fraser Valley from October 22 to 26 with feature and short film programs, industry talks, and hands-on workshops.

Chilliwack Independent Film Festival runs Oct 22 to 26

Screenings span three sites, with a new home base at Galaxy Cinema, plus Cowork Chilliwack and The Grand Hall. This season brings 118 films across genres, curated from Canada and abroad. An opening night on Wednesday, October 22 features Fraser Valley stories at The Grand Hall. A Chilliwack-made documentary on the opioid crisis debuts Thursday, October 23. A 10-year anniversary screening of cult favourite Creep lands Friday, October 24.

Tickets are $10.99 per screening; three-ticket and five-ticket bundles are $21.99 and $34.99; a full Festival Pass is $69.99. The day-by-day schedule and booking are live at Chilliwack Independent Film Festival.

Industry programming runs at Cowork Chilliwack. Sessions include a fireside talk with Creep director Patrick Brice; panels on building sustainable careers, working with publicists, and moving from shorts to features; a conversation with William Belleau; and a pitch competition. Workshops at The Grand Hall on Sunday, October 26 cover freelance revenue, directing actors, and producing award-winning films. Each session is $10.
