Il Saltimbocca food truck is marking their 12th anniversary with a new feature, the Meatball Parm (Alla Vodka). The sandwich also features elements from sister restaurants Via Tevere and Don’t Argue Pizza Slice Shop combining recipes into a wood-fired creation.

The Saltimbocca Napoletano is a traditional sandwich from Naples, made with pizza dough baked in a 900-degree wood-fired oven.

The Meatball Parm (Alla Vodka) sandwich layers Via Tevere’s house-made meatballs with Don’t Argue Pizza’s vodka sauce. Parmesan and fresh mozzarella add creaminess, while arugula and a basil dressing provide freshness. The sandwich is presented with pizza-style bread baked fresh in the truck’s wood-fired oven.

I really loved the Meatball Parm and Prosciutto & Arugula sandwiches! The meatballs were very tender, flavourful and delicious and I’m a fan of Don’t Argue Pizza’s vodka sauce especially in their Vodka Pepperoni pizza.

Il Saltimbocca is parked at 401 Burrard Street in Vancouver from Monday to Friday. The new feature will be available every Wednesday beginning October 8, offered until sold out. Guests can expect a limited quantity each week, making it a midweek draw for those in the Downtown core.
