Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is hosting an immersive fundraiser gala in celebration of 39 years in Vancouver’s Chinatown. The gala sets the stage for the Garden’s 40th anniversary in April 2026 and will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Floata Seafood Restaurant.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden Hosts Immersive Ming Dynasty Gala

The event draws inspiration from the Ming Dynasty, offering an evening of cultural storytelling through calligraphy demonstrations, Hanfu performances, live music, incense rituals, and tea ceremonies. Guests will experience a rare exhibition of original architectural artifacts and archival photographs that reflect the Garden’s legacy since opening in 1986 as the first full-scale classical Chinese garden built outside China.

The gala is designed to engage all senses through performances, curated experiences, and a silent auction featuring unique items. Proceeds will support conservation work, cultural programming, and educational initiatives that sustain the Garden as a year-round cultural landmark.

Limited tickets are available at https://vancouverchinesegarden.com.

The Garden will continue the celebration with the 39th Annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival on October 4 and 5, 2025, welcoming visitors for another immersive cultural experience.
