93 Coffee has opened their second Vancouver location inside Harbour Centre Food Court, expanding their Japanese kissaten-style café concept to Downtown’s busiest transit hub.
Founded by mother and son team Kumi and Rintaro, 93 Coffee first gained a following at their West End location for nostalgic Japanese-Western style comfort dishes such as Napolitan spaghetti and omurice. Their signature Napolitan, served on a sizzling iron plate lined with a fluffy egg in the classic Nagoya style, remains one of the few versions of this dish available in Vancouver.
The Harbour Centre location shifts focus to a grab-and-go format suited for office workers and students. The menu centres on Japanese tea-based drinks, with a particular emphasis on hōjicha, a roasted green tea that is still relatively uncommon in Canada. The hōjicha lineup includes Hōjicha Cortado, Hōjicha Latte, Hōjicha Frappe, Hōjicha Mocha, Mango Hōjicha Latte, and Strawberry Hōjicha Latte.
Matcha based drinks are also available in similar options.
Light bites on their menu include tamago egg salad and ham and cheese sandwiches; onigiri; and an onigiri bento with tuna, Japanese omelette, grilled sausages, and salad.
Housemade desserts like Matcha Tiramisu and Rare Japanese-style Cheesecake round out the menu.
Located just a short walk from Waterfront Station, the Harbour Centre shop offers an easy stop for those looking to experience Japanese kissaten-inspired drinks between meetings or classes.
93 Coffee Harbour Centre is located inside Harbour Centre Food Court at 555 West Hastings Street, Vancouver and operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. The original location is at 1789 Comox Street, open Sunday to Thursday from 8 AM to 7 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 8 AM to 9 PM.
