Several venues are focusing on ingredients connected to British Columbia, including wild salmon, halibut, Okanagan fruit, local wines and Fraser Valley pork. Other celebrations bring together food, music, soccer viewing and complimentary treats for guests spending the holiday downtown.

Here are several places to eat, drink and celebrate Canada Day in Vancouver.

The Victor is serving a charcoal barbecue-inspired patio menu centred around Canadian ingredients, British Columbia wines and familiar comfort dishes.

The $89 prix-fixe menu begins with Victor’s Cheese and Onion Bread, served with whipped brown butter. Guests can then choose between the O Canada Roll, made with torched salmon, blue crab, mango, cucumber and jalapeño maple soy, or Rangeland Bison Carpaccio with bone marrow aioli, cranberry rye cracker and chanterelle mushrooms.
