Downtown Vancouver’s beloved hangout, The Living Room at Hotel Belmont, is ushering in summer with an exciting redesign of its food menu. Embracing its ethos as a “home away from home,” this dynamic venue has rolled out a range of new dishes, from laid-back bites to sophisticated entrees, served up in a lively and welcoming atmosphere perfect for date night, Happy Hour, or catching a Whitecaps game (with the sound on).
Brought to life by Chef Ameer Zain, in collaboration with At Home Hospitality’s Partner and Culinary Director Mike Rose, The Living Room’s new menu is packed with options, from casual, elevated bar bites to full dinner entrees that evoke the comfort of home-cooked meals—especially if your mother is a professional chef! Chef Zain, who joined The Living Room at Hotel Belmont in July 2023, draws from his extensive experience at Vancouver’s Century Plaza Hotel, Acquafarina, and Le Crocodile. This refresh ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy while staying true to The Living Room’s signature warmth and hospitality.
New dishes include starters like Mussels Congolaise, Crispy Cauliflower, and Pork Dumplings made with B.C. pork and shiitake mushrooms, and mains such as Thai Green Curry, Fish & Chips, and a decadent Truffle Mushroom & Brie Smash Burger. The revamped menu is now up and running, with exciting new cocktails to follow, but the spirits of summer are on hand thanks to enduring Living Room faves like their slush drinks and party pitchers of Living Room Lemonade or Sangria.
One of the best ways to experience The Living Room is during Happy Hour, offered daily from 4 to 6 p.m., through its value-driven pricing with zero compromise to quality. The entire Happy Hour food selection, which includes dishes like their Crispy Chicken Slider, Spicy Tuna Bites, and Chicken Karaage can be ordered for $80, making for a tasty and approachable group outing to cap off your workday or kick-start a night out. Not ones to leave late night go unnoticed, Happy Hour will be swapped for the new nightly Party Hour. From 9 to 11 p.m., guests will enjoy 25% of all communal cocktails, while bottles of Grey Goose and Casamigos are available for $200 per bottle. Party Hour is now in effect at The Living Room.
