Praguery, renowned for its handcrafted chimney cakes and artisan soft-serve ice cream, is opening its first Praguery Café in Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park Community Center on Saturday, November 23, at 10:00 AM. Known for its food trucks across Metro Vancouver, this new café introduces a broader menu and an inviting space designed to serve the local community.
Located within the recently developed Town Centre Park Community Center, the café features bright, modern décor with navy subway tiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests can expect Praguery’s signature chimney cakes baked fresh daily and paired with rich, scratch-made soft-serve ice cream crafted from British Columbia dairy.
The café also debuts new menu additions, including Basque cheesecake, cream puffs, sweet and savoury danishes, and focaccia sandwiches. The Basque cheesecake boasts a creamy vanilla texture and a golden, caramelized crust, complemented by house-made strawberry or hot fudge sauce. Cream puffs, available in flavours like chocolate, raspberry, tiramisu, and vanilla, can be purchased individually or in take-home boxes.
Praguery Café’s rotating selection of danishes includes creative savoury options like pepperoni pizza and cheesy red pepper, alongside sweet choices such as raspberry mascarpone and pistachio cherry. Heartier options include freshly baked focaccia sandwiches, offered in vegetarian or roasted chicken varieties.
The café also highlights an expanded espresso-based coffee program with lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos. Seasonal offerings like the Gingerbread Latte bring a festive touch, with all syrups and sweeteners made in-house for a distinct flavour experience.
To celebrate its grand opening, Praguery Café is offering special promotions for the first 50 customers. The first 10 guests will receive a $50 gift card, a complimentary box of cream puffs, and a coffee or hot chocolate. Guests 11-20 will enjoy a free coffee or hot chocolate with a chimney cake, and customers 21-50 will receive one free coffee or hot chocolate.
