Tofino is set to welcome an exciting addition to its restaurant scene just in time for the summer season.
Aptly named “Ombré” as a nod to the sunsets for which Tofino is renowned, this upcoming dining destination will offer small plates, wine, and cocktails throughout the day. David Provencal and Eric Murdoch, two of the top talents at Wolf in the Fog, will be at the helm of Tofino’s new culinary hotspot.

Having held the role of Sous Chef at Wolf in the Fog since 2018, Chef Provencal will move into the role of Executive Chef at Ombré. Meanwhile, Murdoch brings his years of restaurant management in LA and New York City to the front of house as General Manager. Located in the former SoBo location, the duo intend to uphold the venue’s legacy as a cherished gathering place for community and visitors alike.
The menu at Ombré will offer an array of seasonal small plates, with minimal use of modern techniques and timeless traditions. Ombré is opening early summer 2024, and more information will be available on social media at @ombretofino.
