Mèreon in Ambleside, West Vancouver is marking its first year with an expanded menu and a special celebratory evening on February 20. The French-inspired bistro at 1479 Clyde Avenue will welcome guests with complimentary bubbly and live jazz from the Lesley Branton Trio, starting at 5 p.m.

New dishes are now part of the brunch, dinner, and happy hour menus, adding to the restaurant’s selection of classic French fare. Brunch, available Wednesday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., now features items like Mèreon Salad, Classic French Omelette, Moules à la Marinière, and West Coast Sablefish.
Dinner, served Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. onward, includes new offerings such as Steak Tartare, Escargots à la Bourguignonne, Lobster Carpaccio, Gnocchi à la Parisienne, Sablefish à la Provençal, Rack of Lamb Dijonnaise, and Canard à la Lorraine. Two new desserts, Chocolate Profiteroles and Champagne Mousse with Wild Strawberries, round out the expanded menu.
Happy Hour, running daily from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., now includes the Mèreon Burger, Tarte Flambe, and Chicken Liver Mousse, along with drink specials such as 25% off bottles of wine, $9 wine glasses, a trio of 2oz cocktails for $14, and Parallel 49 BC craft beer for $6 a sleeve.
