LimeGee, a Chinese-founded brand, has opened up their first outpost in Canada at 589 West Pender St in Downtown Vancouver.
LimeGee specializes in hand-punched lime tea drinks – that is the juices from the lime are freshly hand-pressed on order.
On the menu are their Hand Punched Lime Tea; Milk Tea; Fruit Tea and Slushes.
The LimeGee top picks are the Fragrant Oolong Lime Tea; Thai Lime Tea; Fruit Tea; Mango Slush; Geegee Milk Tea; and Geegee Roasted Milk Tea.
For toppings they have House Special Raw Sugar Pearls; Grass Jelly; Coconut Jelly and various Popping Bobas in different flavours like Mango; Strawberry; Green Apple; and Peach.
They currently have a grand opening special until July 9 of buy one large drink and get a regular size Geegee Roast Milk Tea with Pearls. You can also opt for 10% off instead of the free drink.
The staff recommended to me as a first timer to get the Fragrant Oolong Lime Tea ($6) and it was quite refreshing. The ice and sugar levels were not customizable but I found it to have the right amount of sweetness and not too tart but still . The temperature was cool and just right.
The free milk tea that they offered was pretty standard.
LimeGee is located at 589 West Pender St and is open daily from 11 am – 8 pm.
