Latincouver’s Inspirational Latin Awards returns to the Vancouver Playhouse on April 15.
This special gala and networking event is designed to recognize exceptional business leaders, visionaries, and influential individuals who are actively supporting the Latin American community in British Columbia and beyond.

Latincouver is thrilled to bring back this highly-anticipated event after a four-year hiatus.
This year’s ceremony promises an extraordinary evening of recognition, entertainment, and relationship-building.
As part of Latincouver’s mission to empower individuals, the awards ceremony provides a platform to showcase the hard work and dedication of outstanding artists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, influencers, volunteers, and innovators who have made a positive impact within the community.
Award nominations are divided into five categories, including:
- Arts & Culture
- Business Entrepreneur
- Waldo Briño Love My Community
- Non Latino Making an Impact
- Online Influencer
Individuals are pre-nominated by the public based on specific criteria, and final nominees are declared based on the top 5 most-voted individuals in each category.
Once final nominees have been tallied, a judging panel that includes Mariat Jibril, Regional Manager, LGBTQ2+ Business Development at TD Canada Trust; Marie-Claire Howard, Vice-President, Finance, and Operations for Howard Employment Law; Juliana Lopes, CEO and Founder of The FEM Group, Business Women Magazine Canada and La Vae; and Yuriria Lanza, Middleware Infrastructure at CGI, will assess nominees to decide on the award recipients.
The winners will be officially recognized at the gala on April 15, where more than 400 guests are expected to attend.

Much more than an awards ceremony, the Inspirational Latin Awards is a time to network and discover new ways of supporting Latin American cultural initiatives.
After registration, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle during a cocktail reception, bid on exciting items like flight vouchers, artwork, and attraction passes, and meet the nominees before the official awards presentation begins.
An after-party follows, with an upbeat live performance by a Latin jazz band, Rumba Calzada.
